The iPad is now changing the way upscale restaurants display their menus to their customers. Many upscale restaurants and wine bars are now replacing their traditional menus and wine lists with an iPad. In a new trend that's hitting upscale restaurants; the devices are being provided to the customers to help the thoroughly examine their menus and lists. Some upscale restaurants have custom designed menu apps that can only be accessed on their iPads.
The Chicago Cut Steakhouse has partnered with a tech firm to create a custom made app that actually lets the customers take a virtual tour of the upscale restaurant's wine cellar. The owner claims that he will not stop here. "They are upgrading and developing the device further where eventually the bottle is going to spin and the customer can read the back label", he said.
